I am a Consultant Anaesthetist working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. I completed a PhD in Health Services Research with the Division of Surgery, UCL and National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia Health Services Research Centre (NIAA HSRC). My PhD research investigated the Epidemiology of Critical Care provision after Surgery (EpiCCS), and was designated the 2nd Sprint National Anaesthesia Project (SNAP-2).
I am an Associate of King’s College, a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Member of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I am also a 2017 Fellow of the Software Sustainability Institute, a national facility for cultivating and improving research software to support world-class research. I contribute to the Data Science for Docs course, which aims to teach medical professionals basic concepts, skills, and tools for working more effectively with data.
My research interests include anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, reproducible science and statistical computing & mapping with R.
